Agreement for Construction of 1,000 Housing Units for Sudanese Working Abroad Signed

Khartoum - The Secretariat of Sudanese Working Abroad (SSWA), the National Housing Fund and Saria Company for Real Estate Investment have signed a memorandum of understanding on provision of housing facilities for the Sudanese working abroad, involving construction of 1,000 housing units at Saria 2 Complex, which lies 13 kms south of Khartoum.
Secretary General of the National Housing Fund Dr. Ghulam-Eddin Osman said in a press conference at the SSWA premises in Khartoum yesterday that the project comes in implementation of the state’s policies of solving the housing problem and providing of housing facilities for the Sudanese working abroad, calling for giving incentives to the expatriates and guaranteeing all their rights.
The Director of Saria Company for Real Estate Development, which implements the project, Engineer Mohamed Abdel-Aziz,  on his part, explained that the project involves construction of 1,000 housing units in the forum of luxury villas at Al-Azhari area south of Khartoum at a total cost of 170 million dollars.
He pointed out that the prices of the housing units ranges between SD1925 million  to SD 2700 million, noting that the method of payment involves paying 20% of the value of the unit in advance upon the signing of the contract and 20% annually for four years.
