Khartoum- The Higher Council for Environment and Urban Promotion has organized a Ramadan Iftar party in honor of Khartoum State clean up workers besides the engineers
and journalists who were active in environment issues during the previous period.
The occasion was attended by a number of ministers, commissioners and Sanad Charity Foundation.
Chairman of the Higher Council for Environment and Urban Promotion Maj. Gen. Omer Nimir lauded the efforts of Khartoum clean up workers and the big role they assume.
Addressing the annual Ramadan Iftar Party organized by the charity fund of the workers of Khartoum State clean up authority, Nimir said the commissioners have big role in supporting the clean up workers, referring to the importance of participation of the private sector in the cleaning up operations.
State Minister at the Ministry of International Cooperation Somaya Akad, on her part, affirmed support to the clean up workers, noting that Khartoum State’s cleaning up is a basic issue.
Secretary General of Sanad Charity Foundation Samia Mohamed Osman, on her part, affirmed support to the cleaning up workers sector.
Some media persons focusing on the issues of environment conservation were honored during the occasion.
