International Law Offices Seek to Represent Sudan in Halayeb Conflict

Khartoum - International law firms contacted the Sudanese government following the recent outbreak of the disputed Halayeb border dispute with Egypt, where it was offered to represent Khartoum before international courts.
According to the correspondences of an office specializing in border issues in a European capital, there is a legal strategy to sue Egypt, which has refused to settle the dispute through international arbitration.
The case of Halayeb came back to the fore after the agreement between Saudi Arabia and Egypt last year to demarcate the maritime border included the sea area of ??Halayeb, while the Sudanese government played down the said importance of the said agreement and rejected any direction to summon the ambassadors of the two countries.
