Military Barracks of Darfur Armed Movement South of Libya

Khartoum – (Agencies – SMC) Spokesperson of Sabha (Libya) Chieftains, Hassan Al-Raqeeq affirmed that the deterioration of the situation in Sabya town and other areas in south Libya is due the open borders and the existence of military barracks of Darfur armed groups and Chadian opposition in those areas.
Meanwhile, AP agency affirmed that the absence of effective monitoring on the borders was behind the existence of the militias that fight both Sudanese and Chadian governments to the extent of establishing military barracks.
He called on those militias to withdraw from the south of Libya to avoid making it a battlefield, pointing out that the area is now divided into several parts.
AP added in a report that central and south Libya are lacking the rule of law and became safe haven to armed groups.
